Honors Golf Course is a Private 18 holes golf course located in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
The club was founded by Coca-Cola bottling heir Jack Lupton and designed by Pete Dye. The course opened for play in 1983.
Jack Lupton's vision in founding The Honors Course was to create a place to honor amateur golf and amateur golfers. The course opened to critical acclaim. It has been rated as the #1 course in the state and number thirty-four on Golf Digest's list of the top one-hundred golf courses in America, Honors Golf Course has hosted prestigious amateur tournaments such as the U.S. Amateur, NCAA Championships, and U.S. Junior Championship.
The front nine has several tree-lined holes while the back nine enjoys a more open and scenic setting. Unlike many Pete Dye courses, there is nothing gimmicky at The Honors Course.
